The Andhra Pradesh state agro industries development corporation limited was established on 05-03-1968 with an equity participation of government of India and government of Andhra Pradesh. In the 2000-2010 decade, the mission of this corporation was to turn around and overcome the financial difficulties and to become and economically viable organization that can fulfil its basic objectives of serving the farming community and effectively contribute to the development of Agricultural sector in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
In the present agricultural scenario, here it is a challenge to enable agriculture as a viable and sustainable economy activity for the farmers in the state, it is expected that the critical and active intervention of AP AGROS in farm mechanization, Supply of Organic inputs, land development etc., is required to assist the farmers in achieving improved yields, income and contribute eventually in the promoting the food security in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
With the above goal science its inception the Corporation has been striving in converting several lakhs of acres of barren lands into cultivation with the help of its fleet of earth moving machinery viz., dozers, excavators etc. At present the corporation is playing a major role as Nodal Agency of Government of Andhra Pradesh for farm mechanization activity in the state in finalizing the prices of farm equipment/ Machinery etc. and empanelling of suppling firms, field inspections, organizing exhibitions and display of high cost modern farm equipment at its Permanent Farm Equipment Display Centre.
